Pattern: Olde Avesbury.
Olde Avesbury represents a celebration of exotic birds and florals in rich browns, reds, greens and yellows. Luxuriously embellished with gold trim. Delicate scalloped rims. The pattern was inspired by a 1932 English embroidery by Albert Gregory.The back stamp on both these pieces indicates production in 1951 (saucer) as evidenced by “XIV” and 1955 (cup) as evidenced by the "XVIII”.
Excellent pre-owned condition. There is no evidence of crazing, cracks, chips or flaws. The surface is bright, clean and shiny.
Approximate dimensions: Diameter of saucer 4.75”, diameter and height of cup 2.25”.
