You are bidding on an iconic Walt Disney’s RARE Uncle Scrooge McDuck Ceramica De Cuernavaca Wall Mask Plaque from the 1960’s. Uncle Scrooge McDuck Still Has His Original Glasses!
In the 1940's and 50's there were many "nameless" ceramic facilities in Mexico making Disney ceramics. The ceramics were supposedly licensed through the Evan K. Shaw Company as some examples have been seen with Shaw paper labels.
The CERAMICA de CUERNAVACA COMPANY (Cuenavaca, Mexico) became an Official Disney Licensee in the 1960's. Cuernavaca produced some great Disney characters in the shapes of Wall Masks, Banks and Cookie Jars.
You are bidding a rare Ceramic Uncle Scrooge McDuck Wall Mask made by the CERAMICA de CUERNAVACA COMPANY.
There are no cracks or breaks on this ceramic piece. There is a 1/8” chip on the bottom of his yellow upper beak & a slight 1/16” chip his bottom beak. There is also visible crazing which can be expected on pieces of this age. This Uncle Scrooge McDuck Wall Mask measures 8 3/4” tall, 5 3/4” wide & 2 1/2” deep.
