The CERAMICA de CUERNAVACA COMPANY (Cuenavaca, Mexico) became an Official Disney licensee in the 1960's. Cuernavaca produced some great Disney characters in the shapes of Wall Masks, Banks and Cookie Jars
The marking on the back of Uncle Srooge at the coin slot reads “AHORRO BANCOMER”
This Uncle Scrooge Bank is in excellent condition for its age. It is one of the finest Cuernavaca Banks that we have seen in the 40+ years that we have collected Disneyana. It measures 8 1/2” tall, 5 1/2” wide and 7” deep
It does not have a bank coin stopper
There are multiple markings on the bottom of this Uncle Scrooge Bank including: “Ceramic Cuernavaca Mexico” with an image of a Cuernavaca Agave Tree at the center, “© WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS DERECHAS RESERVADOS” and “CERAMICA DE CUERNAVACA MEXICO"

In the 1940's and 50's there were many "nameless”
ceramic facilities in Mexico making Disney ceramics.
The ceramics were supposedly licensed through the
Evan K. Shaw Company as some examples
have been seen with Shaw paper labels.
The CERAMICA de CUERNAVACA COMPANY
(Cuenavaca, Mexico) became an Official Disney
licensee in the 1960's.  Cuernavaca produced some
great
Disney characters in the shapes of
Wall Masks, Banks and Cookie Jars.
