    Description

    This listing is for 20 board feet of teak lumber. These teak boards are the same wood we use in our planters and other standard teak products. This is true teak wood with the scientific name tectona grandis. The 7/8 inches thick teak lumber has been PLANED and comes from our FSC/Smartwood/Rainforest Alliance certified tree plantations in democratic Costa Rica.
    We have been planting trees in the tropics for almost 30 years. Teak wood is very durable and can be used indoors or outdoors for a wide range of uses. This 20 board feet of lumber will be around 8 to 9 boards. These boards will be at least 3 inches wide and at least 48 inches long and 7/8 inches thick and PLANED.    We have huge amounts of teak in stock and these include giant bookmatched or consecutive slabs that come from beautiful crotches and other highly figured parts of trees--burls, fiddleback, curly, etc. We have thicker teak slabs and also sell tongue in groove teak siding/cladding, flooring, and finished teak products. Teak has natural oils that enable the wood to be used outdoors.
    These oils keep rain and snow from penetrating into the wood and make teak the most durable and long lasting wood for outdoor use! Teak is one of the most famous woods in the world because of its amazing qualities.The first picture is a deck made with standard teak wood. The second picture is a patented teak bench that we make.
